The world really didn't know what to expect of a band with a name like Guns N' Roses. With their debut album in 1987 entitled "Appetite for Destruction," they were greeted with open arms by many. This album has remained one of the band's most popular albums to date. The band members included Axl Rose, who was the lead vocalist, and lead guitarist Tracii Guns, who was later replaced by Slash. The rhythm guitarist was Izzy Stradlin, while Rob Gardner was banging the drums. In 1990 the band added Dizzy Reed to their line-up with his talent for the keyboards.
